Getting ready to install a 14 gallon Moeller fuel tank in our recently restored 1974 13 Super Sport. I know, but I'm a woodworker and if you're going to build a new mahogany interior for a 13 foot hull, why wouldn't you go super? We know we can fit the tank under the forward or aft thwart seat. Curious to see how others have made this product fit. It can slide under both seats, but sticks out about 5" on either. It doesn't get in the way but kinda sticks out like a sore thumb. Let's refrain on comments about why, and focus on posts about how. Let's see those pics!
I've seen it under both seats. Sure it sticks out -- but if it does -- wouldn't you want the end with the fill cap to be sticking out? I'd want to be able to fill the tank without having to undo the straps and slide out the tank.
Right now I have the newest style 130 SS, and my tanks are under the helm seat with the filler cap aft.
On the newer models, there's a vertical divider under the seat. So you have to use 2 smaller 6.5 tanks or else remove the divider.
