Hey everyone it has been a while! Sadly the montauk has been parked for 11 years only seeing the garage floor. I’m finally at a point where I am going to repower. I’m going with a Suzuki DF90, and I was wondering if it would be worth it to install a transom plate or bar? Not sure what it’s called, but I’m talking about the thin strip of aluminum I usually see with installs. Just the bar not a plate. Transom is in good shape, but I figured I would look into this just in case. If this is a good idea, should I do the bottom holes as well as the top, or just the top?

Thanks!
