New to the forum, and I have a question regarding phenolic/whaleboard reinforcement on the Walkaround hulls.
I checked with Boston Whaler, and they do not have the wood diagram for these boats as "Brunswick did not own Boston Whaler then."
I'm getting ready to mount a trolling motor on my 21' (Motorguide Xi5, 36V, 105lb thrust, 72" shaft), and I want to make sure I don't put any unnecessary holes in my boat. I ordered a ShuttleSlide mount as there is no thru bolt access up near the bow rail. The Shuttle Slide will allow me to thru bolt the mount over he anchor locker, then slide the motor up to the bow rail.
If phenolic backing/whaleboard is in place (and can handle such a trolling motor), I'd much rather drill/tap that area and mount the trollng motor directly for a much cleaner look.
Has anyone with a Walkaround installed a trolling motor? Does anyone happen to have the wood diagram for this boat?
Also, if anyone needs a copy of the owners manuals for the Walkarounds (21'-27') and Offshore 27', let me know. Happy to make a PDF.
