We recently acquired a 1974 13 foot Whaler that we plan to restore. I 've been looking for the right boat for a decade and finally found it here in Florida. We are the proud new owners of hull number 2B2058, which appears to put us right at the end of the 1973 model year. The hull is solid, with no soft spots and no significant damage or repairs. She appears to have been painted once, long ago.
I've spent the last two days restoring her Load-rite galvanized trailer, which was in pretty good condition for a 2005. Although the boat will eventually live on our jet ski dock when not in use, it will be nice to be able to trailer if we want to. Our Outrage 17 will keep watch over her from her own lift.
