I would like to install a trolling motor on my 1971 13’ foot sport. I do not want to drill any holes to mount on the bow. There are currently four holes on forward seat close to port side. I was thinking of mounting a removable platform for the trolling motor using the existing holes in the seat. Even though not ideal, will I be able to control the boat?

I just saw a member build a removable platform for his motor. Not attached.
