The whaler information I am looking for is on a 1999 Boston Whaler 21 Outrage. After checking the under "Our Resources" -> "Whaler Models and Specs" at the top of the page and many other websites, I still do not see it? I am wondering the true deep details about the boat like the haul type, max transom weight, what the transom was made out of, etc. Not common details like, 21 foot, # of lbs it weights. If there is a place I can see these greater details I would appreciate it!
Here are some documents shown attached below on the 1999 Outrage 21'
(BW lists it as a 210 Outrage which it is NOT but they combine the older models together with the new 3 digit name)
Maybe other members here can give you some information about your model.
Boston Whaler did not specify transom weight limits until 2000's. The 1999 Mercury 250 EFI Bluewater engine (max hp for the boat) had a dry weight of ~460lbs. It can easily take the weight of the current Mercury 250 Fourstroke at 527 lbs or the V6 F250 at 562lbs. One should move any batteries aft to the console and install flaps on the aft deck drains.
All Boston Whaler transoms are made up of laminated sheets of marine plywood. Current models use this material.
What other questions do you have?
