Hi all! To make a long story short I bought a boat, lol. My uncle sold me a boat that I used to go out on as a teenager. The boat has been barn kept since the 80's until my cousin was going to do something with it 8 years ago but didn't, he only cleaned it off and took it out a few times. So back to the barn it went. I want to bring her back to life (I hope). It has extensive gel cracking on the inside. I can only find info on doing small sections and mix matched info on which resin and or epoxy. I did find that my Whaler is made with a polyester resin and should be used also to make repairs. Am I correct? I will attach pics to show the extensive gel crazing/cracking. Can someone please point me in the right direction on how to repair this?
Also the title says it's a 1966 but after research and finding the stencil number 31525 I found that the boat is actually a 1963.
Trying to add pics, stay tuned.
I can only add 1 pic? Any way that cracking is happening all over the whole inside of the boat.

Yes it was made with polyester resin and I would recommend thicken poly resin to fill the cracks after opening them up with a dremel and the filling them. Unless you plan on painting the boat, I would not use epoxy resin since gelcoat does no stick to epoxy resin.
Yes, I am going to paint the entire boat inside and out.
It will be impossible for me to Dremel thousands of cracks. Can I grind/sand the old gel coat on the inside and re-gel coat it? I will Dremel all the lager cracks.
Looks like someone dropped something on the deck. I will have to grind and patch that area.
