1) When I purchased, it had a 72 qt Igloo Marine Cooler...it's somewhat inbad shape. So when selling, should I replace cooler & padded seat or leave as is? Plastic corner chocks are brittle and need replaced at a minimum. Looks like there may have been a larger cooler at some point based on old screws closing those wider footprint chocks. What's the correct size cooler if I replaced,?

2) Whats the best source for getting the value for selling & best place to list?

94qt or 72 qt depending on year. I would go with the 94qt, especially if you have the rod back cushions.

You can price the boat without the upgrades/repairs or make the boat truly turnkey for a higher price.

The original setup was wooden cooler cleats with bungies and the Igloo Marine cooler with cooler hooks.

The matching OEM replacement cooler cushion is only available from Anderson's in Florida and they have a 3 month backlog of orders.

As of today, West Marine has the decent price on the cooler as of 7/26/21.

Bob L fabricates the cooler cleats.

See parts index. https://www.whalercentral.com/viewpag...page_id=69

Listing the boat here and Facebook Marketplace will get you a decent sale.

Warning, the market is a bit hot so be ready to get a flood of calls as soon as it posts. Market slows in the fall.

Yes I would replace the cooler and cleats before selling. Minimum cost with big with big return. Make the boat like it had been cared for not forgotten.

Thanks....so give the small space, would you think stay with the 72 qt that's currently in there or go 94qt? Either way, I believe I'll have a set or 2 of extra screw holes & screws to deal with from where the current & previous corner restraints were installed.

Some years they offered a "fishing package" consisting of the cooler, cooler cleats, rod holders on the front console face and a rod cushions (seat backs.

Take a look at my personal page, link below my name, scroll way down to the Montauk.

Thanks Phil.....understand now! Mine doe not have the seat back.

You have a recommendation for covering crazing without going the hardcore refinishing route?

I will post a few pics the next day or so (depending on rain) to better show the couple areas of concern I have. Thanks

If you look at my Montauk on my personal page....

I installed Dri-Dek on the entire floor rather that deal with all the effort to keep pristine. I removed it 2x a season to wash floor.

I liked it so much I did it again on my 1991 Outrage 17 and plan to do it to my current boat, a 1992.
