My restore on my 1983 Montauk 17' is moving along briskly. At first I thought my drain tubes were in good order but on closer inspection decided the bottom tube should be replaced. When I removed the tube(it was corroded through a bit), about 2 tablespoons of water dripped out and the hole is definitely wet inside. I put a fan at the hole from the inside and won't be installing the new tube for a week or so. Is there anything else I should do to help dry things out? Is a week long enough in most cases? Is there anything else I should look for to be confident there isn't a bigger problem here? Thank you for your replies!
