Hi everyone, I have a 2004 Sport 130 where the bench seat with the console is separating from the two "perches" they sit on (circled in picture). Under normal operating everything is in place by gravity but if you put pressure on the steering wheel or lift it it will come off. It appears the screw holes have worked themselves larger than the screws so there is nothing securing the seat to the hull. I want to repair this, what would be the best method? Would a marine epoxy or gelcoat be the best solution? Thanks!

I don't see any pictures, but I'd imagine you're talking about the screws that hold the port side bench down. You should be able to just put some marine tex or similar marine epoxy in the holes and replace them.

Sorry, the picture won't upload but yes I am talking about the screws that hold the bench down - both port and starboard. Thanks!

Yes they’re just small screws that have backed out. Fill the holes with epoxy and put them back in.

Thank you, NShoreMA, for the advice, I plugged the holes with epoxy in late June and everything is holding solid.
