Hi,
A friend of mine bought a Super sport 15 1984.
We would like put 2 engines on this boat, Evinrude/Johnson 35 3 cylinders.
We saw somewhere on the net a picture of the same boat with twin 40 Johnson.
My question is: how to manage the steering system?
I cannot use the tilt tube because the engines will be too closer
If one of you know to do, you will Wellcome.
Thank you
Stephane from France

Stephane -

It is not a good idea.

The transom is not shaped for twin engines.

The transom is not designed for the weight of twin engines.

It is highly likely the photo seen was not a Boston Whaler.

The photo looks like it is a Boston Whaler Super Sport 15' with twin motors.

Not sure what they did to the transom from that photo though.

That is the first 15 Super Sport with twins I have ever seen. Wow!

Still not a good idea.

Hi,
The Boston 15 was finish end of august, very nice boat and engine, running like a new one.
41 mph with 19' propeller.
