Hey Whaler fans!
I have an 2001 Ventura with a 2019 225 Yamaha. The thing is a tank- dry weight of ~3300 lbs. Looking to enhance it with a Minn Kota trolling motor for Spot Lock, nice slow trolling which the Yamaha won’t do, and to assist drift on days with no wind.
I primarily fish the Long Island Sound which can have strong currents and wind. I want to be sure not to underpower but also don’t want to throw money away or deal with three more batteries if just two are enough.
Anybody out there with a similar situation? I’d appreciate any input, suggestions, pics, comments, thoughts.
Cheers!
Regina
