Looking for any info or resources regarding a factory made 1974 Outrage 21' with factory cabin. I get asked all the time if I put the house or the cabin on the whaler but its was factory built this way. It's an ongoing project but any info about this unique design would be most helpful.

Can you tell us the HIN and the Stencil Number?

Maybe experimental or Custom, but never in production.

EDIT:
I see you have the HIN of BWCA9485M74F in your profile.
What about the Stencil?
Thanks

It looks the same as Strike 3 (edit - it is that boat based on registration numbers) - which was an experimental Outrage owned by Matt/Warren and Tony - Here is an copy and paste from a post on another forum...

Here are a couple of photos and the original BW brochure pic of 'Strike3', a truly experimental, one-of-a-kind banana Whaler. When we bought the boat we immediately contacted Chuck Bennett, who confirmed that she was a unique prototype. The boat's cabin is seamlessly part of the cap, BTW, all resting on a standard 21 ft banana Outrage hull. She's forty years old this year.

We 'Strike3' partners are splashing our boat tomorrow in anticipation of the opening day of salmon season on Saturday. The boat spends nine months in a Bodega Bay slip and is used for fishing, cruising, diving, and whale watching. Oh yeah, she's also used as our 'floating Motel 6', though her cabin's a little cramped.

There were two (2) experimental boats made with a cabin like structure. Only Strike 3 is still around.

Are Matt and Warren still in? Been a while since I have heard from them.

I did not see it before but Scott said the Reg numbers match Strike 3. I don't remember it being gray however but its been a while.

That is Strike 3 for sure.

I had the opportunity to see it when it was in Bodega Bay.

Nice to see it is being enjoyed by the new owner.

Thanks for the info and yes it’s an awesome whaler for sure. Still fishing Bodega bay and the SF bay.

Impressive looking boat. For Bodega Bay use a high full front windscreen with wraparound would be useful.

with a good rake it would probably look original. However, if it was mine, I would strive for originality and any needed mods I made would be designed for the ability to return to original with minimum cost and effort.

If you bring the boat down to the South Coast I would enjoy seeing it up close.

That is a sweet boat.

It is the same hull as my 1978 Outrage 21, very stable & will handle some serious conditions.

I like that you opened up the rear deck. There is a ton more room back there now.
