As the new owner of a Yamaha 70 2-stroke, I'm starting to prepare for winter storage and have a question. Does anyone know the thread size/pitch of the lower unit fill hole for the gear oil? I have a pump from my previous boat/engine (Honda 90 4-stroke) and am wondering if the same pump will fit on the Yamaha....I know...I can just take it apart and try it, but I'm not able to do that right now :)
There are two different sizes. The pump we have has an adapter that you screw on to fit some brands. Sorry, I don't remember whether Yamaha and Honda are the same. Looks like WallyWorld sells one that covers the different sizes: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Lower-Unit...RsQAvD_BwE
