Hi, I have a couple of questions, I have a 1984 Boston Whaler Montauk 17. I just mounted a 2003 Evinrude 90hp Fitch Ram Injection outboard. The outboard motor has a oil tank . I would like to relocate the oil tank inside the center console, my question is : Can I just extend the two oil lines and electrical wire to the center console ? Also I would like to relocate the battery in the center console also. The existing cables are 4 AWG . Can I just buy new 4 AWG cables long enough to reach the center console ? Thank you for any suggestions .

Yes on the oil line.

Not sure on the sensor wire, voltage drops over distance so you may want to increase wire size one or two sizes.

For the battery, a 2 awg gauge marine battery cable is appropriate without splices. Genuinedealz on the web has decent prices.

#2 for sure on the battery cables. Make sure they are marine, as previously suggested. I had this setup on my Montauk for 14 years without a problem

The oil system is very finicky about air leaks in the oil line. Double clamp all joints. Make sure you completely purge the oil system after the new installation. The sensor is a simple float switch. Extending the wires is no problem.

For the Ficht and Etec you want to run a uninterrupted oil line from the engine to the tank, no barbs or splices in between.
