Here is a little video of what we are dealing with here up north at my home port (South Haven, West Mich.)in early January https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECHaH...CHaHaZpMjQ and again a couple of weeks ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxX7j...xX7jmjyzmg. Filmed by an ex-slip neighbor of mine.
It is a little better now but we have still a lot of hard water in the harbor/marinas.
Hey the "warm" weather this weekend melted a lot of ice, maybe we can go boating the first weekend of spring here in Michigan.
We spend most of the year just south of you in St Joseph but are in Florida now. I've been watching the St Joseph lighthouse cam several times a day and it's amazing how a couple of 50 degree days will change the lakefront. I really can't wait to get back up there and watch the spring explode. If I had to live permanently in one place only it would be southwest Michigan. Thanks for the videos.
I winter in Ft. Myers and summer in St. Joseph, Michigan. It’s now about 12 years since I’ve joined this group. I gave my 1972 whaler to my daughter and sold the 17’. Bought an O’Day 28 sailboat and sailed on Lake Michigan. Yesterday I bought a 2005 130 Sport.
