I am considering purchasing Z legs from Specialty marine for my 1976 Outrage 19 RPS. Has anyone done this? If so, were you satisfied with the replacement being a few inches taller? Seems it would be nice to have the added height as the originals sat very low. Also, the teak for the seat needs some cleaning up. I've done some reading about teak restoration, and it seems to be a two step process of clean thoroughly and treat. Also, recommendations for professional teak restoration would be welcome. As far as the upholstery goes, any good recommendations there? I believe the original seat, be it very stained, was beige or tan with brown piping. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Don't waste your time with cleaners or treatments.
Sand down and then refinish.
