I'm thinking about having these types of list only viewable to members that have already included their boat info.
That might persuade or encourage the others to include their boat info so they can see these lists.
As the lists are now, all members can view them but non-members cannot.
One more thing on entering your Stencil and HIN numbers.
How do the rest of us know what year model you really have?
Just because a member lists their boat as a 1973 model, how do the rest of us actually know unless you put in the numbers?
Bottom line, we don't.
A member also cannot go by the year on the title given to them by the state. Many times they are not correct. You have to go by the numbers on the boat.
As it stands now, we have 3 members that say they have a 1973 year model Montauk 17'.
Again, how do we know for sure?
The earliest Montauk 17' is AJR in the list linked above in post #1.
We cannot confirm the first 3 in the list as there are no numbers.
So, please, put your numbers in so we can verify the actual year of your boat.
