Me and technology, did something change in W/C regarding "Personal Messages" to other members???
Am I not seeing something in the side bars?
I remember being able to click on a particular members info after a personal page comment was posted and view a prompt for a PM if I chose to reply back to them.
We removed the option to send "Private Messages" due to many reasons a few months ago. One was a spam related issue and others were too many questions being asked there instead of in the discussion areas.
This is a Public site and all Whaler related questions should be asked in the discussion areas. Not privately.
Now, if a member must contact another member, you will have to email them from the email in their profile.
That is, if the member doesn't have their email hidden from the members which there is really no need to do, as only members can view your email in your profile. This helps stop spammers.
Not having the PM's helps save our bandwidth and resources for things that matter here on the site where again, things belong.
Thank you Joe for the update. The member I was trying to contact goes by robalo and he's from my neck of the "woods" or better "reef". He had posted a comment and asked a brief question while in my personal page. I was trying to reply back to him but I can't seem to locate an email or other means of contact.
Any chance you could render some assistance at your convenience?
