Montauk 17 with E-TEC 90

Member Posts: 699 Comments: 0 Joined: 07/14/12	So I'm going to have the E-TEC 90 mounted on my 1984 Montauk 17. I've seen suggestions to mount the motor three holes up but could find no prop suggestion with that configuration. I've seen a suggestion to mount it two holes up and using the Stiletto 13 1/4 x 15 prop. Not sure of the dates on those posts. Anyone have this engine/hull combination can make a suggestion as to current thinking on mounting height and propeller? Edited by Tom W Clark on 04/22/13 - 8:44 AM I winter in Ft. Bought an O’Day 28 sailboat and sailed on Lake Michigan. Yesterday I bought a 2005 130 Sport.

If you use the BRP Viper, two holes up is about all you can do. Here is Len Simpson's Montauk with its E-Tec 90 mounted all the way up.
