Not sure if it's universal or just something on my laptop. For the last few days the entire page can not be viewed unless I use the horizonal bar at the bottom of the page or use the right and left arrow keys to move the page left or right.
The topic/discussion area can be read easily, but everything ot the right is out of view until I move the page leftward. This is no huge problem, it's just not as convenient as before.
As I said maybe something on my laptop went askew.

I have not noticed a difference on either of the two computers I use most often.

If your computer's screen settings haven't been changed, perhaps the Internet browser your using is the culprit. Most browsers have a zoom setting that can cause what you describe if its been activated. In Internet Explorer for example, the feature is under View from the tool bar.

I'm looking at mine right now and have the same problem. None of my computer settings have changed, so the logical assumption would be it's something with the site, but then again, what do I know about such things. One Man's Opinion.

Hold your CTRL button down at the same time you scroll your mouse wheel to resize your screen.

brorobin,

What size of laptop?
11", 13", 15", 17"

What resolution are your display settings ?
640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, or something else?

Can you send me a full screen shot.
Is your browser window full screen or partial?

And just to make sure that this is the Home Page...
http://www.whalercentral.com

I have a 27 inch display so I can open 2 browsers windows at the same time side by side at the higher resolution of 2560x1440...

Anyone else see anything different?

Here's a photo of my prior 23" monitor which shows the browser only using part of the screen.

Here's a screen shot of the browser full screen which should look like anyone with a Windows computer and viewing the browser full screen.

Note there is no scroll bar at the bottom. The only scroll bar is on the right side.

Joe,
I'm using a 15" laptop running XP, with Internet Expolorer 8.0. Display is 1024x768. Not viewing Full Screen.
To the best of my knowledge, I have not purposly changed any settings prior to or after the changes appeared on WC.
I'm not sure how to send you a screen shot.
Other sites don't seem to be experiencing the same issue.

What happens when you view the browser in full screen.
I thought all Windows users viewed their applications in full screen mode.

I have opened up the attachment feature here on this forum so people can attach their screen shots.

Here's a screenshot
SORRY IT DIDN"T WORK. I'm trying to add a screenshot and not having much success.

Joe, when I view in full screen, the upper tool bars and web address input area disappears, but the right left issue is still present.
As soon as I can figure out how to add the screenshot I'll add it here.

What if you drag the browser window out a little more to the right?

How far do you have to scroll to the right?

A few more things of interest...
Anyone else with Internet Explorer 8 having this problem?

What about trying FireFox on your Windows computer?
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/.../?ref=logo
Does FireFox do the same thing?

How about trying Safari for Windows computers?

No option to drag the browser window to right (make window wider).
At 100% view the viewable area w/o scroll to right, everything to the right of the discussion area, ie; the date&time; and all boxes under and including "Visit our Sponsors" is not viewable w/o scrolling right.

No problem here. I don't get the bottom scroll bar until I zoom to 165%.

Windows Vista Home Preminum, IE 8, 16" flat panel, 1920x1080, Radeon Mobility HD card.

Sorry, All attempts to add a screenshot here has failed.

No resolution to the problem. I guess I'll just live with it.

We would like to try and help you.

First, can you try what I suggested above?
FireFox or Safari and see if the same thing happens....

Thanks Joe,

I tried Firefox and Safari and have the same issue.

I think I'll sleep on it and try again on Thursday.

From my office computer:
Vista Home Preminum, IE8, 25" flat panel, 1920x1200.
Zoom to 165% (screen) produces the bottom scrol bar or adjust resolution down (control panel) at or below 1152x864.

Well, the PC at the office is a 20 inch flat panel, no issues at all. My wife's latop 16inch screen, no problem. My laptop still has same issue, my desk top 17 inch CRT same issue as my laptop. I'm at a complete loss as to why this is happening. But as I said last night, the issue is not worth all the fuss, it is inconvenient, but I'll live with it. (Or steal the wife's laptop, if I decide to stop living Smile.
