I just received a new RPS cushion and rub rail kit for my 1981 Montauk from Specialty Marine. After talking with Twin Cities Marine today I was told they had original OEM parts. I want my Montauk to be as close to original as possible and am thinking of returning items to Specialty Marine and going with Twin Cities. Does Twin Cities in fact have the true original OEM replacements? Any advice/guidance be would be appreciated.

As far as we know, Specialty Marine has the OEM style cushion in the correct color and material.

They also appear to sell the OEM style rub rail.

What is wrong with the items you received?

I don't have the original color, but I have the white ones from specialty marine and they have been great. I am sure Sue's are sweet, but oem ones would probably be mroe expensive thatn specialty marine's. Your choice, can't go wrong either way. I am happy with my set from specialty though, in case that helps.

Nothing is wrong with what I received from Specialty Marine - seat appears to be good match to original although not 100% exact and the rub rail kit looks like it is a very slightly different color but close. I think the products would work fine I'm just anal about trying to get the real OEM replacement to be as close to original as I can get. By the way Specialty is very good about accepting my returns if I decide to do that. Thanks very much for your inputs/reponses.

Sue does not have the white rubrail anymore, just moonstruck or black. Sue was cheaper with respect to the rubrail kit when I purchased.
