If you turn each side it will unscrew and separate

I need to install the old norman pin. The screw broke off and I bought a new one from Twin Marine. Now I need to install it. Should I suse (great stuff) foam to fill the gap when I install it? or just screw it in and use life caulking?

Are you saying there is a gap between the Norman pin screw and the boat? In other words is the hole "wallowed-out". If so you probably need to fill the area with some epoxy or similar material then re-drill the hole to re-install. The entire Norman pin area was in bad shape on my 16' and had to be re-built. I used West System epoxy with colodial silica additive to thicken and toughen the mixture. Worked fine but re-driling the hole straight is a bit tricky; start with a long 1/8" drill.

If you can't play hurt....stay home.

I would not use the foam as you need something that has some strength. I agree, rebuild it if necessary and redrill the hole
