Does any one know off hand where the stencil number is located on a 63 Currituck?

Here is one location on a 1968 Currituck.
http://www.whalercentral.com/infusion...er_id=7796

And this looks like a different location on a 1969
http://www.whalercentral.com/infusion...r_id=14110

And here is one in the forward locker of a 1963 Currituck

Is yours only in the bow locker?

Joe
The number on my Currituck is located in the splashwell – it appears that is where aquaman281’s is also…

Made it home with my eBay boat, long trip short weekend. Posted a couple jpg's on my PP @ the bottom. One is the wood parts I have duck taped together. Is that windshield a normal part? The last jpg is around the non skid looks like gelcoat was painted into the head of screws. Anyone know what this is about?

I didn't think the windshield was, looked through the PP and didn't see any others. What about the gelcoat screw heads in the last jpg?

Yes, that is original Whaler non-skid. The screw head impressions are an artifact of how they applied the non-skid to the mold in the old days.

Heard back from Chuck at BW on my Currituck -
"According to Whaler's records; serial number 31048 was built in our old Rockland, MA factory as a 16'7" Currituck model and was originally shipped out on 5/28/63."

Jack -- Good luck with your Currituck! I owned a '63 Currituck and sold it a year ago. I miss that boat every day.
