From The Owner of the Dauntless:
I own the 02 Dauntless 160 that Mike has modified so beautifully. This all started when I removed the radio in my center console because I never used it. That left me with just the plastic radio cover in that space. I didn't think it looked very good. I got to thinking it would be nice to have a shelf or something there to store sunglasses, keys, cell phones, etc.
Mike had done some great work for my brother in rebuilding 3 classic whaler consoles and seats so I knew how good he was. I contacted Mike and he said he could make the shelf. However, when I dropped off the boat Mike and I discussed what else could be done and he had some great additional suggestions. As a result, we expanded the project to include the locking storage cabinet beneath the shelf, the locking louvered console door, and the matching trim around the fire extinguisher box.
I can't describe how great it all looks and what a difference it makes in the appearance of the boat. (The only downside is that I just picked the boat up yesterday and now I have to put into winter storage for the season and I will not get to look at it much until next spring. Sure glad I have these pictures!)
Mike is an excellent craftsman, does great work, has reasonable prices, is good to work with, and did everything he said he was going to do on time. I wouldn't hesitate to have him do more work for me, assuming I can think of something else that could be done on my boat! Thanks again Mike.
