Claims to be a 1988 17ft whaler, I'm debating on going to check it out.
Anybody know what it is, doesn't look like a Montauk.
Thanks,
Jeremy

EDIT:
One or two photos is all that is allowed in the forum section.
One link to your entire album is the best method in the forum section like this.
Unfortunately you have your album set to private instead of public.

That is an Outrage 18, or the remnants of one.

He is asking $900 for the boat and trailer, worth it, what could the boat be worth?

If it is anywhere near Rhode Island, and you don't take it, I will. That should answer all your questions.

Yes, I found it on Craigslist, thank you. I would cost about another thousand for me to go get it, so I will pass. But, unless it is worse than the pictures imply, There is still money in it at two thousand.

I wouldn't touch that boat with a ten foot pole. You could easily spent $20,000 on it and end up with a $10,000 boat.

I'd risk $1000 on it with no hesitation!

For about 6K, I transformed a 1970, 16', $1350, POS Whaler back to it's former beauty. New every thing (except for a gently used motor); the only original equipment is the Norman pin, the steering wheel, the stern light bracket, the bow light and the bow and stern eyes.
The question is, do I now have a $7350 40 year old boat? Or, do I have a "new" $7350 beautiful classic Whaler? People spend a ka-gillion dollars restoring old cars and are so upside down in them they'll never get so much as 30 cents on the dollar out of them.
If you enjoy that sort of project and can do all of the work yourself, "Go For It!"

I think the major difference here is a POS Vs a stripped out POS.
If the boat had most of it's parts and a decent motor that could be brought back to life then I would take on such a project. This one appears to have lost much of it's innards to other projects and presents a real challenge and many dollars to rebuild.
