Sorry, but I have no idea, but while I have your attention, do you have any idea where the original drawings, plans, for BW's wood components are, or went?

What plans do you mean? Hull wood or fabricated parts?

I'm looking for just about anything. I have built all the parts for an 18, including the gunwales and console doors. I'm looking for parts that people have requested that I don't have originals to copy. I also am just plain curious as to where they are. BW says there gone, but I can't imagine they just thru them out.

Well, I too would never have thought that any historical info would be trashed, at least without somehow copying them for posterity, but apparently we are both wrong... I still have mates over there that tell me that they have indeed been tossed out, and if I need a decal that I don't have, I have to find one somewhere to look at and reproduce... It amazes me how little regard has been given to the companies history. I guess it shouldn't, it happens everyday in this corporate world we live in... Out with the old... Breaks my heart...
So, I guess if you really want dimensions for something, you're going to have to do it the hard way, like me... Reverse engineer it...

Thank you for confirming the fate of those drawings for me. It is a shame that they were thrown out, but I guess it really is a different company than the one that use to make these great boats up here in new england.
