What seems to work best for an older Montauk 1974 that has no power trim accessories right now?
While in the project stage of refurbishing my boat I plan to ad either PT&T to my 1984 Ev. 90 V4 or to ad Trim Tabs to the transom.
I don't honestly know if one option takes the place of the other or if they are designed to work in conjunction with each other.
I already know I have to raise my motor up to the second hole and re-prop but given the bare bones condition I have now, which option will I get the most benefit from?
I have not yet looked at prices for Tabs or PT&T but the costs of each of these will certainly play in to the mix.
Which way should I go while in the planning stage?
