The following are questions I asked of the manufacturers of Ultra-Tuff. Anyone who can provide 1st-hand experience answers is greatly appreciated.

I'm in the process of re-fitting a 17' center console Boston Whaler and have a few questions.
What is the granual size of Ultra-Tuff for this application?
Is it typically sprayed on all surfaces of a boats interior?
Can it be used over gel-coated areas that need to be non-slip?
For verticle surfaces that might appear unusual if covered with a non-skid material: Is the pigmented liquid portion of Ultra-Tuff available w/o granuals? If so, how damage resistant is this material?

Thanks,
Vince Zappia

I can't give you a specific sice of the granules but it is similar to bed liner for trucks. You can spray it wherever you want it. It was made mostly for non skid applications. It can be purchased without granules or with the granules "on the side" to be mixed in when you want them. It is pretty tough and can be "repaired" with overspray.

I sprayed my 13' in the spring and am VERY happy with the results. They do offer a smoother type granule now that isn't so abrasive. Make sure you follow the prep directions exactly and you will be satisfied. I sprayed the textured material on the entire interior and it looks good IMHO. It is a very durable material. I'm in the process of putting pics on my personal page.
