I recently puchased a 68 model 13 footer. The hull is great shape structually however the previous owner used some type of white Sprayed on Paint all over the interior of the hull. Im assuming it s just spray paint however there are multiple layers. I am undecided as to how i will refinish the interior. (the blue area) Possibly gel coat or possibly Tuff Coat. Lacquer thinner will remove the paint. however it took nearly a gallon to do 4 sq ft in 3 hours. any recommendations for paint removal?
I had one to two coats of paint to remove on the interior of my 11. Tried Kleen&Strip. Nothing. Tried Citristrip…nothing. Tried PeelAway 6…weak, but with some scraping, worked a bit. Tried PeelAway 1…BINGO! Down to Gelcoat.
