I was looking at the parts index trying to find the screws that attach the wood rod holder blocks to the console on my 85 Montauk. The ones in the "coffee can" of fittings I got with the boat seem to be long pan head sheet metal screws. They are long enough alright but I doubt they were the original fasteners because of the flat head etc.

The original screws in my '85 Montauk are machine thread with nylock nuts on the inside.

Ahh yes. That makes more sense. Now I must go on a quest to try and find some. I hear a lot about "Sue" at Twin Cities on these posts - maybe I will give her a shout.
