I recently purchased a 1972 13' Whaler and I have to say at the time I had no idea what I was buying. I had very little knowledge of boats and this was a true, sitting in a guys back yard, gem that I got for almost nothing. At first I thought it's just a boat and if it floats fine. Right away I had offers on it and I mean people stopped to check it out. So after a little research and some time well spent bringing it back to it's original beauty I have to say this is the boat I will keep for a very long time and this site has been a wealth of information.
