Went fishing yesterday, live lining for Strip Bass with spot.
My buddy dropped a small spot into the Starboard drain well.

Couldn't find it ... got home tried flushing with a hose .. nothing... well now the flys are coming and the boat is starting to stink. Reached my arm as far as I could, NOTHING.

So I have a 1990 Outrage, 22 foot with the Whaler drive. The boat has the live well in the floor, right next to the transom (full transom boat). Notice two removable plates over the gas tank... assume for getting to the fuel line / gas tank.

What can I do ?????

Will it hurt to stick a hose in the furthers starboard tank access and try flushing from there with a water hose ?

Should I unscrew the deck plate over the live well and try and remove (is this a major problem to remove / reinstall)??

How long will the Whaler stink ... getting ripe with these 100 degree days.

Yea, laugh, not funny. Hopefully someone know how to resolve this problem ... please help, stinking in MD

You can just unscrew the deck plate, cut the silicone and pull it up, just work it till it pops up. When you put it back down just use silicone, anything more and you won't be able to get it up again.

Just pull the plate. If it's not flushing, it may be good to open both and clean. Use a proper caulk when replacing. No telling how many dead things' little skeletons, corpses and just nastiness I flushed from the rigging tunnel in my boat when I bought it and pulled all the wiring. I recently dropped a pinfish in the back a few weeks ago and the sucker was trying to head up the tunnel and I grabbed him in a hurry. Stink can come in small packages.

You do wanna be careful about flushing some areas with water especially if the area in question wasn't made to drain. I'd do some checking before randomly flushing. Just my $.02
