I have a 80 model 15 footer and am in the process of repairing. I really could you some advice on the best way to make these repairs and modifications.
What is the best and easiest way to fill screw holes in the bed and sidewalls from 1/8" to 7/16"? the holes do not penetrate the exterior except around motor mount. The holes where console was mounted seem to need more than just sealing as they are deeper and need filling first. I went to West Marine and they were not sure what type of fill to use.
the other item is type of console should I use. I saw a couple of 15's on this site that had duel consoles and was wondering if this this was available as a replacement. Thanks for any help Sparky57

For a structural repair to screw holes, I swear by West Systems Six10 thickened epoxy in a caulk-type tube. It's not cheap, and you have to use it all or buy spare mixing tubes, but you can INJECT the material into the hole where it will fill the void behind the fiberglass. It is sandable within a few hours.

So - you just fill the hole totally and then drill it out when it cures?

screw holes I put silicone in them so water can't penetrate nothing fancy. But if you have to have a smooth finish, use Gel Coat.

If you plan on screwing back in the same place you fill, do a search for he hockey puck method of repairing screw holes.
