Just bought an '85 18ft Outrage. The boat had been stored for a few years and had become a bit of a mice hotel.
I can see evidence of mice when I lift all of the covers in the floor except the most forward cover. My question is this, if I clean these areas with water will it all drain into the bilge or will it just sit around the gas tank?
Depends on how tight the foam remains sealed to the tank. If it has pulled away, then water will most likely get in and migrate under and around the tank and remain there until it evaporates or gets absorbed by the foam. No, I would never wash this area with water. Get out what you can with a shop vac, and leave it be.
