Have a friend who bought a boat like mine (15 ss), not a member yet. Was installing a bilge pump in the rear sump. When he drilled holes for the screws an returned a few minutes later there was water seeping up from the holes he just drilled. How concerned should he be? I advised to leave it, he mentioned at the end of the season drilling a couple small holes (1/8" in the bottom near the transom so that any water could drain and poss dry out over the winter. Then he would marine tex the "drain holes" in spring. There is no sign of hull repair on the boat. Ideas?
