HI-

I just got a new trailer for my have an 1986 13' Super Sport. The trailer is an EZ Loader 12-14 bunk trailer. I know it SHOULD work. The boat has been on its mooring and never been on the trailer. I plan to haul the boat this weekend and want to know if someone has the same trailer and boat combination and can help by telling me how to properly set up the bunks (what holes the bunks need to be in) before I haul the boat.

As a side note, the former trailer was a very old/very rusty Tee Nee trailer. It had 4 keel rollers. The new EZ Loader only has 2 keel rollers - is that enough? Sales guy said 'yes' - but I wonder........

Thanks in advance.

Graham

PS - the 13' (completely refinished) is for sale! I need to make space for the new (to me) Outrage 18. You can see it by going to craigslist in Maine.

If it were me I'd back the trailer in pretty deep and pull it out slowly, making sure the rollers and/or bunks take the weight and the boat isn't sitting on the frame. I'd also take a few tools in case the fit is completely miserable. It it's not too bad I would trailer it home and adjust it in the driveway. I would think 2 rollers and bunks would be fine for a 13'.

Just make sure the keel is on the rollers correctly and they are supporting the majority of the boats weight. The bunks are only used as guides to keep the boat level on the trailer and should not support all the weight of the boat.

If you have a jack, lift it from the keel (stern) on the trailer an adjust the bunks. Then lift it from the keel on the bow and raise the bunks there to make it even on the trailer. Just needs to be off the rollers.
