Greetings, all:
Here's a question for which I need an answer soon.
I own a 1987 Outrage 18', and have agreed to let it to be used as the platform for a parade float in August. It will be towed at low speed, of course, and would have a half-dozen small children (80#) and two adults (200#) on board during the parade. I want to know if this much weight in the boat, while sitting on the trailer, will compromise the hull. The vessel sits on keel rollers, with roller bunks at the stern quarters.
They all fit well, with the main weight load on the keel, as prescribed.
I love this boat, and don't want it ruined.
Thanks in advance, and kind regards,

Fro a short length of time that should not pose a problem. Long term would be and entirely different story

If you can make sure your internal tank is near empty, you'll compensate for the weight of the adults right there.

Remember it is not only the hull that is carrying the weight, the trailer is carrying the whole thing. I would make sure of the max load for the trailer as well.

you should be fine. i agree with emptying the internal tank, for weight reduction both for weight on the trailer and for the tow vehicle.
