I'm "now" ready to install the fuel tank tie down kit that I just bought (in 2002). The plan is to drill two pilot holes for each clip, goop the s/s screws in silicone caulk and screw them down into the deck. I was thinking maybe two mahogany wood strips with "Marine tex" as adhesive, then screw into the clips into the wood strips. Any idea's from the Crew ? I just don't want my fuel tank to float away and snap off at the fuel line if a wave comes in the back ( I use a rope for now).
Thank's !
We're runnin strong this year, and we're getting out often.
