I have one of each and am working on them now. Both hold water and do not leak ----YET! Both also sat on the ground for a few years and I am getting the rust off in prep for paint. There are a few questionable pitted spots. My question, would fiberglass sheet bond to the bottom of clean metal and possibly keep the tanks safe for a few years?

Any other options I have not yet thought of such as Rino Liner or something of this sort?

Like I said there is no leaks yet but after sanding them down I sure don't like a few spots that have deep pitting on the outside bottoms.

Thanks Joe. ANy clues as to price for the 12 Moellers?

I still want to try to keep the original tanks for Vintage purposes and would love to know if bonding a heavy glass blanket to the bottoms might work.

That is something I would never do and would never recommend.

How safe do you want to keep yourself, your family, or your friends?

I can only assume you bought a Whaler to keep everyone safe from sinking.

You can buy new Miramax tanks.
