Thru hull transducer 2008 Dauntless

Member Posts: 4 Comments: 0 Joined: 06/21/10	I'd like to get the transducers off the transom Looking at things, it looks like I can mount a thru hull transducer where the raw water pump would go thru the hull, opposite to where the live well pump is mounted Any one have any experience, ideas, comments on this ? Typically a thru-hull transducer is appropriate for larger 25+ foot hulls. What exactly is your reasoning for removing the transom mount? Member Posts: 21 Comments: 0 Joined: 04/22/10	I have a transom mount on mine.It works great at slow speeds. When I go offshore you will loose the bottom if running 20+mph .The thru hull usally will keep tracking the btm.An that is good if looking for stucture.
