Checking in non-skid, clamp damage and blisters

The only solution that I can think of is to grind out the blistering and checking and repaint. Any other ideas? I was also wondering about what I could do to protect my transom mounting area from clamp damage. See my pp for pics.

Those are the holes that you should throughbolt your motor to the transom with. By all means, still use your clamps.
