I was looking at my hoses today on my steering and I cant read the hoses on the length. Has anyone replaced the hoses on 1983 Boston Whaler 25 foot Outrage? I need to the length of the steering hoses for single engine telflex system. Also I need to find out if anyone made a livewell on this same boat and location or which compartment you did it in? Thanks for the support!
All 25's came factory equipped with hydraulic as standard equipment. I would use 23' length. If there is any extra length it is easy to accomodate inside the console.
On my 1989, the boat came factory equipped with a livewell in the center stern floor, in front of the splashwell dam. It has a 500 GPH Mayfair bilge pump plumbing system with two valves to either aerate water through a spray head, or pump it overboard through a Port side through hull at the Port floor sump. This well has no thru-hull drain, nor does it have a continuous water intake. It has to be filled using the raw water washdown system. If keeping bait alive, I have to change out the water every hour or so.
