I always thought I had a whaler but after posting some 'wrecked pics' other are saying it doesn't look like one.
She has no HIN and was titled as homemade when I bought her.
Guy says "the glass does not look like Whaler glass," whatever that means.
What do you think?

Here is a link to more photos as the forums can't handle more than one or two photos.

I would say it is a Whaler. That said, the wood is not correct, The port side rail is the one for the stbd side as it has the hole for the steering cable and the console is too high but it does have a shine on it!!!

I have my doubts about it being a whaler. Sure looks like it went to war and back though.

What is the Stencil number?
What is the HIN number if the metal tag is still there?
What year do you think this might be?

There are no stencils or tags. I assumed the stencil had been sanded/painted over.

Something about the way the floor slopes up to the bow locker doesn't seem right. I may be wrong though.

How many companies were making 'clones,' usually the fakes are pretty obvious.

The way the bow locker slopes up to the bow is interesting to. IDK.

Agree on the glass. Interior liner, floor/deck, bow and stern don't look like Whaler.
I there any foam in that thing and if so does it look like Whaler foam?

Take a look at Seavee's personal page, a couple of good pictures for comparison:

What does Whaler foam look like?
I feel like a school boy trying to see the differences in the pictures.
What am I missing?

I'm looking at the thickness of the rear corners, doesn't seem "Kosher".

I do not know enough about 13's to make a call. I can however shed some light on a couple of questions asked above.
Whaler glass has a very distinct green tint. Most have seen in in the green line on the transom of most whalers. The glass on your boat does appear to have a green tint but it is very green and looks to be kinda stringy but I would guess that is what the guy is talking about that says it does not look like whaler glass.
Whaler foam is very white and very tight. You can see a pretty good pic of the foam on my 19 footer project page. the foam on the back of your transom is not factory. looks like someone just put it there to fill the damage. there should just be wood and glass back there on the transom.
I would say it is a whaler. if this is the current state of the boat sand the inside of the transom. My 15 was trashed when I bought it but I found the stencil number under a couple of coats of paint on the inside of the transom.
If you could describe the pattern on the nonskid some of the 13 owners might say yea or nay. Is it round dots like a basket ball?

I say it's a Whaler that had an extensive rebuild at some point. Maybe they cut out the floor to replace foam and subsequently laid a new floor. Same goes for the other inconsistencies. New floor would mean a new non-skid too.
