I hAve a 16' cohassett that I need to connect to a hoist. To get in the water at port orford or. I plan to
make 3 straps , two connecting on stearn bolts and eyes. And one connecting to the anchor connection. I have a 600 lb motor, and 250 lb of scuba gear.
The guys at the dock say I should get rid of the stock cast boston whaler bolts and eyes replace with steel .
So I'm wondering if any one has done this . Is the anchor bolt strong enough to lift loaded boat? Along with the two rear bolt and eyes.
I thought they would have straps on hoist to go under boat. That is not the cAse, every one needs to have there own straps.
Thanks for any input. Jr
