all right here we go. uncovered the 2004 190 nantucket over the weekend .everything is going well, the motor fires right up cleans up nice .here lies my problem the motor steers to the right and will not come back. the wheel spins but the motor does not move . i check the steering fluid it checks out full. i open the bleeder and it moves fine,i now break out the manual and follow the steps to bleed/purge the steering system multiple times after about 2-3 hrs of this nothing has changed at all. where to look next. if i open the bleeder it steers, lock the bleeder up and it will not steer to the left ANY SUGGESTIONS would be greatly appreciated

Assuming it's Teleflex, I would call their help line.

sounds like helm is bad. it is a little pump. if it is not pumping fluid the motor will not turn. Not sure if there is a rebuild option or just a replacement. If it turns out to be something else be sure and let us know. I am curious.

It sounds like a check valve has gone out in the helm pump. Search THT as there have been many threads devoted to repairing Seastar helms.
You can also contact Fluid Technologies, http://www.charlesaperry.com/tabid/70...fault.aspx that is Teleflex's authorized repair company. You also might want to email my good friend at Teleflex, madams@teleflex.bc.ca. He can tell you what's wrong if you describe the symptoms in the email...

Oh man, why even speculate? Just call Teleflex on the phone. They have GREAT customer service and will talk you through whatever is wrong.
I too suspect a stuck check valve in the helm but the guys at Teleflex will know for sure and be able to tell you how to get it fixed.
Remember, they are on the West Coast in B.C. so call before 8:00 PM EDT or wait until Monday.
