I am getting ready to buy some gel-coat to redo my 13. I have a friend who is proficient at spraying the gel coat. The question I have is what is the approximate amount of gel-coat needed for a 13. The hull is a 1969 if that's necessary to know. I would like to do the interior in the classic blue and the outside in the off-white. I plan to get my gel-coat locally from Fiberglass Coatings in St Pete, Fl.
I have been told that I need from a 1 gal to 2 gals. If I am going the 2 color route, anybody that has done this before have any advice on amounts?
it's somewhere between 5 and 7 quarts for the outside and roughly the same for the inside. At that point, you probably want to get 2 gallons and it will be cheaper and you will have room for error http://www.keltonkrew.com/whaler-rest...estore.htm
