Hi folks.

New to this but trying to get my Montauk 170 into the water after the winter. When I took the battery out last winter I swear I took pictures of the wiring so that I would remember how to do it in the spring. Can’t seem to locate them.

I tried looking at the electrical diagrams in the manual but can’t make sense of them.

I connected the negatives and positives on the two batteries but there are these extra wires. I thought I recall they were on the negative terminal but not so certain.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Need to see better photos.

Pull the covers on the batteries so we know what we have to work with.

On my 210 MTK (2023), I have two batteries uncovered but they are in bilges in the back. The wire connections are all color-coded (red to positive and black to negative). All the smaller ring terminals go to the main battery, and the second battery only has the post/neg connections.
