I have an easy load trailer.

The Brochure shows my model to only weigh 500lbs bear hull (chuck bennet sent the brochure via email). Thats really light and should fly with a 90hp on it, unless propped wrong, engine at wrong height, or engine is bad.

Or the whaler dilemma, filled with water. Guess ill have to weigh me boat, an guess how much my trailer weighs. Any idea of the average weight of a 17 foot galvanized trailer weighs? Wood bunks 2 rollers, single axel. Thanks.

Ball park figures?

Look to the manufacturer's web site for specs on the trailer. You may have to just find something similar to get a good guesstimate if your trailer is no longer made.

In my state (Connecticut), the state registration certificate for boat trailers lists the light weight and gross weight. Your state may also. The registration for the 1985 Cox trailer under my 1970 16-foot Whaler gives a light weight of 350 lbs. and and a gross weight of 1800 lbs.

An EZ Loader like that weighs 500 to 600 pounds.

Your bare hull weighed ~500 pounds, and that included the hull hardware (lifting eyes, bow eye, norman pin) rub rail and the side rails as well as the bow locker cover, but nothing else.

Add to that 500 pounds the weight of the console, seats(s) fuel tank(s), fuel, battery motor rigging and any other accessories.

The best way to figure out the weight of the trailer is to weigh it.

A trailer of this size can be weighed with a bathroom scale. Dump the boat on the lawn, and roll one trailer wheel onto the scale. Then weigh the other wheel. Lastly, weigh the tongue jack (or skid). Add the three wights together and that is the trailer's actual weight.

So i went to cat scales at the pilot travel center up the street. Trailer an boat weigh 1140. I have a digital bathroom scale but i cannot dump the boat, i wouldnt know how to get it back on, unless i had 3 buddies of mine cone handle this thing. But 3 buddies of mine are on different sxhedules in different watch rotations an are at home at different times of day, (military watch rotations inport for submarine are 3 section for nuclear trained personell) but i went to ezloader site many trailer similar to mine weigh 500-600lbs so i think im good. Thanks.

Not only did i run a hike thru the boat deck to the bottom/stringers an Get dry results from a tiny dig, weight seems to proove i have a dry whaler. From 1966!! My 1996 outrage ii cant say that.
