Review of the new Conquest 285

Boston Whaler’s 285 Conquest has been completely redesigned. The boat’s running bottom, sporting 19 degrees of transom deadrise, carries halfway forward, where it makes a quick transition with the chines, rising to present a sharp entry for parting steep seas. Bottom strakes and wide chines provide lift and dampen spray. Twin 250-hp Verado outboards make for a remarkably quiet ride, especially at cruising speeds from the 20s to the low 30s.
